Patience, please

Patience is not and has never been my strong suit, so I understand why people are sometimes impatient with their marketing outcomes. Unfortunately, it takes time to build a reputation and increase sales. It would be great if we could run a few ads or get a story in the news and immediately have customers flocking to our businesses. Alas, that’s not how it usually works. People have to hear your message many times, and unless they need your product or service at the time they hear about it, they won’t act.  The key is to keep promoting your business so when potential customers do need you, you’ll be top of mind. In a down economy it’s even more important that businesses continue their marketing efforts.  When the economy finally turns around and people are comfortable spending more, your patience will pay off.  Just remember your marketing dollars are an investment in your business. As with most investments there’s rarely a quick pay off. I know it’s easier said than done, but be patient.
